Engineering M.E.P Design

MEP is the system that determines whether a finished building actually works day to day: whether rooms are properly ventilated and climate controlled, whether electrical capacity matches actual load, and whether plumbing and drainage function reliably for the building's lifetime. Get it wrong at the design stage and the fix later means opening finished walls and ceilings  expensive at any point, and far more expensive after construction is complete.

Mechanical Design (HVAC)

Our mechanical engineering covers heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system design, sized to the building's actual thermal load rather than a standard formula applied regardless of orientation, glazing, or occupancy patterns. Lahore's climate  extended summer heat, humid monsoon months, cooler winters  means HVAC sizing has to account for genuine seasonal swings, not just peak summer load. We design duct routing, equipment placement, and zoning in coordination with the architectural layout so that mechanical systems don't compete with structural or aesthetic elements for space.

Electrical Design

Our electrical engineering covers full building power distribution: load calculations, panel and circuit design, lighting design, and backup power integration  including coordination with solar and generator systems where applicable. We size electrical infrastructure for actual anticipated load plus reasonable future capacity, so a building doesn't hit capacity constraints the first time an owner adds equipment or expands operations. For commercial clients, this includes coordination with fire and life safety electrical requirements as part of the base design, not a compliance addon at the end.

Plumbing Design 

Our plumbing engineering covers water supply, drainage, and waste systems designed for the building's actual usage profile  a high occupancy commercial building has fundamentally different plumbing demands than a single family residence, and undersized systems show up as pressure problems and drainage failures within the first few years of use, not immediately at handover. We design plumbing routing in coordination with structural and architectural drawings to avoid the routing conflicts that cause costly onsite rework.

Why MEP Design Needs to Happen Early

The most common and expensive mistake in construction projects is treating MEP as a downstream engineering task that happens after architectural design is finalized. When that happens, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems get forced into whatever space is left over  ducts routed through spaces too small for proper airflow, electrical panels placed wherever there's a gap in the wall, plumbing runs that require structural workarounds. Every one of those compromises either costs more to install or degrades the system's performance for the life of the building.

We design MEP concurrently with architecture, which means duct paths, electrical risers, and plumbing stacks are accounted for in the building's layout from the start  not retrofitted into a design that wasn't built to accommodate them.

Our MEP Design Process

1. Load Assessment calculating actual mechanical, electrical, and plumbing demand based on building use, occupancy, and climate.

2. System Design  HVAC, electrical, and plumbing system design coordinated with the architectural layout.

3. Coordination Drawings  combined drawings showing how MEP systems route through the building without conflicting with structural elements or each other.

4. Specification & Equipment Selection  selecting equipment sized correctly for the calculated load, avoiding both underperformance and unnecessary oversizing cost.

5. Construction Support  ongoing engineering support during construction to resolve onsite coordination issues as they arise.
